Earlier, he had supported the then Chief Minister of divided Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu when he spoke about using technology. Going by the same instinct, the actor had showered praises on the digital economy idea which is being pushed by the Union government.
It is known that Actor Madhavan is having a good time at the 75th Cannes Film Festival along with a few other celebrities from India. Talking at the festival, Madhavan expressed his strong support for the digital economy and highlighted how India emerged as one of the leading users of the micro-economy.
Listing out the journey of India in the digital economy, Madhavan said that many doubted the idea as one needs a smartphone for the transactions and many have no access to the same, the journey has been inspirational to the other nations.
It has to be mentioned here that the Union government played a crucial role in pushing the digital economy proposal. With the lockdown coming into effect for close to one year, it became easy for the digital economy to get deeper into the country. People from various professions started using the digital economy and India pushed big nations in the digital economy consumption to emerge as one of the leading users.
